Of course living in the best city in the world with access to many beautiful parks and iconic locations to photograph is the beauty of NYC.
However nothing is better than a session in the comfort of your home. Everyone feels relaxed and at ease. Especially when it comes to newborn sessions. It’s tough to get everyone out of the door sometimes. Being in your familiar space sometimes works best especially for toddlers.
Big brother was a bit shy when I first arrived, even though it wasn’t a fist time I’ve met his family, it’s still intimidating to have a stranger in your space, especially after a big transitional time of bringing home a new family member. Though he quickly warmed up, and got pretty comfortable for us to have a great photo session.
One of the reasons I love lifestyle newborn photography so much is because there is zero pressure on the baby or the parents. The baby can be sleepy, awake or wanting to be held. Anything to make him or her happiest for us to have the very laid back and emotive session.
The older one was sweet, curious and excited to be a big brother. We snagged some really sweet moments of the two of them that I hope the family will treasure.
The session took place right around Christmas time and all the coziness of the decor made this session even more special.
There is nothing more precious than a family snuggling together, just as they are.
