As soon as you are ready and I will pencil in your due date in my calendar. Once you deliver and is ready for me to come by, Ill be there!
What Should You Wear For Your Session?
The whole family (mom, dad, siblings, animals) will be photographed, but the images will be natural and candid. The most important thing is that mom feels comfortable. Be that a flowy dress to hide your stomach, or jeans or tights -the comfort is what matters. Everyone else should be comfortable in the clothes that they wear as well. Coordinating colors and patterns are always preferred -rather than matching colors. Just please no logos on kids or super bright colors.
How To Prepare The Baby?
The baby will need the least amount of prep. I ask that you feed your baby 30 minters foe the session is scheduled to begin so they’re the happiest and sleepiest. We will still have many breaks as needed to allow the baby to feed, or if you’d like to incorporate breastfeeding during your session. However, I like to attempt the full family images right out of the gate if there are young siblings included.
I suggests neutral colors for your baby, such as white onesies or simple one tone colors as that will make your images classic and timeless. I will also take photos of the baby just in a diaper so we can focus on their tiny details.
How To Prepare Your House?
I cannot emphasize this enough, your house does not need to be perfectly clean! You just had a baby and I do not need you to strain yourself by decluttering your house for the session. I can always move stuff around if its in the way. Usually my focus is on the baby’s room, your bedroom and living room (couches). Let me worry about the background of the images!
Can We Include The Pet Siblings Or Grandparents?
I am always happy to include your furry baby in our photos. They were your first child after-all!
Grandparents are always welcome to join in on the fun as well. Your children will thank you for those images when they are older!
