6 Photos You're Guaranteed to Have in Your Client Gallery

My goal as a New York City Family Photographer is to give my families a big variety of photos in their gallery. My family sessions are either one hour long or two hours long and include a mixture of posed, lifestyle and documentary images. The goal of my sessions is for my families to have fun, be playful with each other as well as love on their family. I have a flow with which I conduct my sessions to make it fun and easy for them and myself. 

6 Photos You're Guaranteed to Have in Your Client Gallery

Here are the kind of photos you can expect to see in your client gallery. 

1. The “Everyone Look At Me” Photo

This is the one that most people think of for their Christmas card photo or a grandparent gift. Everyone smiling and looking at the camera. I always make sure to include those type of photos in your gallery.

2. "Look at Your People" Photo

That is my favorite type of a family photo as a photographer! I aim to capture connection between your family members, asking kiddos to look at their mom or dad or asking parents to look at each other or their kids. 

3. Sibling Photo

I always try to get a sibling shot, even they’re not perfect “looking at the camera” images. Those images are mostly captured in a documentary way as it’s hard for kids to cooperate and often times they hold their siblings on their laps.

4.Individual kids photos

Because these are the photos that really let you see each child’s face at this stage of their childhood.  As a mom, it’s so important for me to capture all the details of my son and remember the way he looked every single year of his life. I am sure every mom appreciates these portraits of her kids in the gallery. 

5. Snuggling Photo

Snuggling and loving on your kiddos. If you get in front of my camera I guarantee I’m going to ask you to snuggle on your loved ones. 

6. Movement Photo

Most of my clients are young kiddos who need to move! All my sessions involve walking to various spots of the areas we are at which gives kids a chance to wiggle around and capture families in different environments. Resulting in images of connection which also shows off their personalities. 

The goal at my family sessions with you is to capture your life just the way they are. Not perfect images but their true personalities whether they are serious or have the biggest smile on their face.
