Everyday life begins to sparkle when we realize our friends are glitter

This photoshoot was not an in home or a family session, where I usually chase little kids and capture their daily adventures. This was something that totally took me out of my comfort zone and presented me with an exciting challenge shooting teens. 

When Michelle's mom, Inna, contacted me a month ago, she wanted a fun photoshoot for her daughter who just turned twelve and was celebrating her bat mitzvah. She was looking for a way to celebrate this memorable birthday for her daughter and five of her closest friends. Their day was filled with cool activities, a limo ride to Dumbo where we had the photoshoot followed by a dinner in the city. This was something her daughter wanted to do for a while and to make it more fun we also decided to use some fun props for them to play with. 

I hope the girls enjoy these photos, as I for sure loved capturing them.
