How I Approach Photographing An Active Toddler During Your Family Session
An active toddler is a challenge that I accept and understand during your family session with Alimegreendream Photography. As I enter my seventh year in business as a Family Photographer in Brooklyn, NY I can confidently say that I can create beautiful photos for your family even if your kids misbehave. The kids that often misbehave just want to run around, be silly and not listen when directions are given. Here are some things that I do to make sure that you will have a successful photo session.
I Embrace The Active Toddler Chaos
Trust me the more you let your kids be and embrace the chaos, the more successful your family session will be. If you fight with them they will be more grumpy and stubborn. I let the kiddos run and play, while also stooping down to their level and to get family shots and letting them be their silly selves and show their cute personalities.
I Use Movement To Quickly Capture Smiles
I encourage mom and dad to let the kiddos move and play games with them, run towards them and embrace, lift them up etc. and while all of that is happening I am shooting the whole time!
We Move Around, A Lot.
It is truly the easiest and the best way to keep kiddos engaged, is to let them lead the way or I lead them through various areas through the session. Moving the location lets the kids explore and stay excited.
Mom And Dad Know Their Kiddos Best!
Just like every family session is different, every child is different as well. Mom and Dad can engage their kids best with specific things that their kids love. Some prefer to be thrown his up in the air or ride on the dad shoulder, or tickled etc.
At the end of your hour photography session with me you’ll get a beautiful gallery with photos that show your child true personality for you to always remember who your child is at this stage of their life.
